This wonderful hotel is inspired by a fairytale castle set in an enchanted forest, offering a unique experience in a royal palace, which since 1917 is considered one of the most historic and romantic in Europe.
Outrora este palácio, no interior da Mata Nacional do Bussaco, servia como casa de férias para os Reis de Portugal que ali encontravam uma paz de espírito inigualável. Está situado a 2 horas de carro de Lisboa e a 1 do Porto e a 30 kms da cidade universitária de Coimbra.
Ficar num palácio em Portugal. A floresta envolvente abrange uma área de 105 hectares e contem várias espécies de plantas e arbustos do mundo inteiro, algumas são gigantescas, ideal para inesquecíveis passeios em contacto direto com a natureza, passando por fontes de água fresca.
The hotel consists of 60 rooms and 4 suites furnished and equipped in the style of the early 20th century, as well as Art Nouveau and Art Deco, all with original furniture. Some rooms still remain in the same environment as before, preserving the original beauty of the palace.
The majestic dining room is today one of the best restaurants in Portugal, with a high quality of service but also because of the confection of traditional Portuguese dishes and the best wines of the region, worldwide known as mis-en-bouteille-au-château.
