Designed in 1945 by Mackenzie Ross
Estoril Golf course was opened in 1929 first with 9 holes first designed by the architect Jean Gassiat and the 18-hole course was designed in 1945 by Mackenzie Ross, one of the best golf course architects in the world. Later the course was redesigned by the French architect Jean Jean to allow the construction of the Lisbon – Cascais highway, some holes had to be changed like number 9 and 13.
